Bruce Staelens

The trumpet has taken Bruce on quite a musical journey, both musically and geographically: from blues to jazz to Broadway, with stops in Europe, Japan, the Caribbean and all over the United States before dumping him in New York City.  He's now making his escape to beautiful, clean, green Seattle. Since becoming a homebrewer in 2000 (his wife thought he needed a hobby) his innovative approach has earned him many awards including the Brewmaster's Choice medal at the 2006 Knickerbocker Battle of the Brews.. (If you're in Albany, look for his "Hoppy Jalapeno" pale ale on tap at The Pump Station at C.H. Evans Brewing.) Visit Bruce's beer page for much more!
Of course, what good is beer without Barbecue? Armed with a 28" Weber kettle grill with a rotisserie attachment, Bruce has developed a deliciously distinctive style, regularly utilizing his homemade beers and jellies. His sauces, marinades and rubs also emphasize homegrown ingredients.  Visit Bruce's barbecue page for more!
